CRM Director

The Role: 

Engine Transformation are looking for a CRM Director to lead our work across:

  • Helping organisations get value from their data
  • CRM strategy, customer journeys and personalised communications
  • Data strategy and data management
  • Insights from analytics and data science 
  • Getting value from data and technology platforms, through efficiencies and effectiveness

The CRM Director reports directly to Engine’s Chief Data Officer and is a member of the leadership team of Data within Engine Transformation, alongside the Analytics Director and Data Technology Director. The CRM Director is also part of the Senior Leadership Team for Engine Transformation.

The CRM Director will lead 2 teams:

  • CRM Consultants who lead day-to-day activities with the clients listed above
  • Data operations which includes data developers and campaign delivery teams
Key responsibilities:

There are 4 core areas of responsibility for this role:

Commercial Leadership:

  • Lead 4 Senior CRM Consultants and their teams to deliver revenue from existing clients, this is a mixture of retained revenue and additional projects
  • Win new revenue by engaging the broader Engine Transformation and Engine teams in new opportunities with existing and new clients, directing and supporting the
  • Marketing and New Business Teams
  • Continuously improve the quality, utilisation and yield of CRM projects through the team from brief to execution  

Client Leadership:

  • Lead the relationships with senior client contacts across all accounts
  • Understand and provide recommendations on how to overcome their challenges and achieve their KPIS
  • Be the subject matter expert in CRM, data, analytics, martech and personalisation
  • Support the Senior Consultants in delivering outstanding service and growing the relationship

People Leadership:

  • Lead a team of 20 people across client facing and technical delivery roles and different levels of experience
  • Ensure the combined and individual teams are clear about the strategy and go to market plans of the CRM Team
  • Ensure everyone has objectives, regular reviews and development plans with appropriate training

Thought Leadership

  • As a senior member of Engine Transformation, with a deep understanding of our clients and their developing needs, the CRM Director is expected to drive Engine propositions for growth
  • Present at Engine events, write blogs, record podcasts and attend industry events to support new business targets 
Key skills/experience:
  • Been accountable for £m of revenue from clients for supplying CRM services
  • Experience of leading the growth of existing clients and winning new ones
  • Leading multi-disciplined teams, from client engagement to operational delivery, facing into large and demanding organisations
  • Successfully grown clients in terms of the depth and breadth of services offered, becoming a trusted advisor individually and a key business partner collectively
  • Been involved in developing new solutions / propositions / products / services for clients
  • Evidence of thought leadership with clients, helping them achieve their objectives
